Editorial Policy
What we publish, how figures are checked, how corrections are made and how sponsored content is marked.
What We Publish
Guides, files and answers for people who run MSPs
Every piece should let you do something the same day.
Figures checked against sources
Every figure is fact-checked against its source before it is published. A quote is verbatim and attributed.
The vendor's words, marked as theirs
On a tool profile the vendor's own description sits in its own column, marked as theirs and never fact-checked by us.
Examples marked as examples
An illustrative person, company or number is marked as an example. Owner accounts come from MSP community discussions.
How Sponsorship Is Marked
The same words, whoever the sponsor is.
On the card
A sponsored card in the featured band carries the word sponsored on the card itself, on its title line.
On the page
A sponsored file or article says sponsored at the top and in the byline, and names the sponsor.
In the fine print
A page where one of the owner's products appears carries a fine-print line at its foot, on that page only.
How a Correction Is Made
Anybody can file one
The correction form at the foot of every page, or the contact page.
An editor reviews it
Checked against the source.
It is published on the page
Dated, with the original wording kept in the record rather than overwritten.
